Song of America
The partnership between the Hampsong Foundation and the Library of Congress continues to develop and flourish. To mark the 250th anniversary of the first song written in America, and in association with the Library of Congress, Hampsong is producing the national Song of America tour, starting in the 2009-2010 season.
Hampsong will augment Thomas Hampson’s fifty-state recital tour exploration of America’s song heritage with educational activities and exhibitions, the production of recordings, broadcasts and cybercasts, plus rich interactive online resources to be found here at www.hampsong.org.
