On April 18, Mr. Hampson is featured at ‘Insights at the Atrium’ – part of the New York Philharmonic’s education series. Thomas and scholar Matthew Mugmon present a programme about Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde as a preview of Hampson’s upcoming performances of the work. The event takes place at the David Rubinstein Atrium at Lincoln Center.

Hampson returns to the Manhattan School of Music on April 19 to lead a master class with students from the school, which will be live streamed and archived for future viewing. The event is free and open to the public. A video archive of Hampson’s past appearances can also be viewed at the following link. Thomas then performs in a concert series with the New York Philharmonic and Music Director Alan Gilbert, featuring Sibelius’ Symphony No. 7 and Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde, with Hampson and tenor Stefan Vinke as soloists.
